We’re hiring a Full-Time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)near Bakersfield, California (Central Valley region). Job Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient primary care services to clinic patients using established clinical protocols
- Perform patient assessments, including histories, physical exams, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Initiate, adjust, and manage treatment plans with physician guidance and consultation as needed
- Order and interpret labs and diagnostic studies; communicate results and follow-up plans
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with scope of practice and regulatory requirements
- Provide preventive care, health screenings, and patient education to support wellness and chronic disease management
- Document care accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Collaborate with physicians and clinic staff to coordinate care and support quality outcomes
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (Family Nurse Practitioner strongly preferred)
- Current, unrestricted California RN and NP licensure (Board of Registered Nursing)
- National NP certification through one of the following (as applicable):
- American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
- Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB)
- National Certification Corporation (NCC)
- American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN)
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- AHA ACLS required if requesting privileges for an inpatient setting
- Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and communication skills
- Comfortable working within structured protocols while exercising independent clinical decision-making
- Early-career candidates may be considered depending on training, clinical rotations, and overall fit
