Job Responsibilities of the Orthodontist:

• Examine, diagnose, and treat dental malocclusions and oral cavity anomalies
• Design and fabricate appliances to realign teeth and jaws to produce and maintain normal function
• Develop treatment plans based on patients’ health histories and diagnostic reports
• Coordinate orthodontic services with other dental and medical services
• Adjust dental appliances periodically to produce and maintain normal function
• Provide patients with proposed treatment plans and costs
• Use diagnostic procedures, such as radiographs (X-rays), cephalometric films, and computer tomograms, to aid in understanding and addressing dental conditions
• Record patient treatment and progress, including the size and position of the teeth and jaw

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Orthodontist Residency Certificate
• Accredited Dental School Graduate  
• Current OR state dental license or the ability to acquire one
