Requirements of the Outpatient Pharmacist:
- Outpatient pharmacy background and experience
- Must be a registered Pharmacist, BS, or PharmD
- Direct-hire Opportunity
- BLS Basic Life Support
Responsibilities of the Pharmacist:
- Prepare and dispense medications using appropriate techniques and following the policies and procedures.
- Design, recommend, monitor, and evaluate patient-specific pharmacotherapy.
- Provide concise, applicable, and timely responses to requests for drug information from healthcare providers and patients.
- Provide medication-use education to patients and caregivers.
- Utilize pharmacy support personnel effectively.
- Ensure continuity of pharmaceutical care to and from the acute and ambulatory patient-care settings.
- Participate in the established process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication errors.
- Participate in the management of medical emergencies.
